At Grounds For Coffee, we understand that being a barista is not just a job... it is a religion! Grounds For Coffee is built on years of dedicated experience and we too share your passion for the service of great coffee.

 

Basic barista training will cover key elements such as: safety and hygiene, cleaning, machine operation, changing the grind, extraction, texturing milk and pouring café style beverages. This level of training is crucial as it sets the stage for future learning.

 

If you’re keen (and have the ability to put this training into practice), it’s great to refine these skills even further by extending your repertoire to: machine maintenance, mastering the grind, efficient work-flow, ordering and supplies and latte art.

 

Learning how to compete in a barista competition requires a very different set of skills: timing and flow, immaculate presentation, preparation and the ability to perform to strict measures under considerable pressure are all vital elements.
