It all started in a small coffeehouse on Vancouver Island in Canada…a young Corinne was not aware that the irresistible bean would one day guide her direction in life...

 

Corinne is first and foremost - a barista. Pulling shots and steaming milk for over 11 years, Corinne took out the Australian Barista Championship title in 2001 to represent Australia in the World Barista Championship, ranking an impressive 6th in the world!

 

In addition to her hospitality skills, Corinne is a Diploma qualified Trainer and Assessor and has built on this by working with franchise concepts: Foodco (Muffin Break and Jamaica Blue) and Gloria Jean’s Coffees (Maranatha Import Export) as the National Barista Trainer, developing accredited barista training programs and competitions for baristas and franchisees all over the world.

 

Her business, Grounds For Coffee was founded in 2002 to provide training and operational assistance to the Specialty Coffee industry, working with the likes of: Toby’s Estate Coffee, Ryde TAFE’s Coffee Academy, the AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association, T2’s tea house concept and many individual cafes and baristas.

 

Appearing in many national (and international) publications, Corinne has also completed numerous television appearances and coffee-lifestyle interviews. She is well-known and well-respected throughout the industry for her passion and drive to help baristas and cafes improve their quality of product and service.
